Bio

Ilias G. Bissias is an Assistant Professor of Management and Operations of Companies in the Shipping and Transportation Industries and an Attorney at law.  Dr. Bissias holds a Bachelor and Master’s Degree in Law from the University of London (LSE) and a PhD from the University of the Aegean. His research interests include Shipping Management, International Shipping Policy, Corporate Communications and Contemporary Maritime History. He has written numerous academic articles and participated in various research projects on these areas, both in Greece and abroad. In 2021, Dr Bissias was unanimously awarded by the City Council of Oinousses the title of Honorary Citizen of the historic maritime island.
