Bio

Athena Roumboutsos (AR) is a Professor at the Department of Shipping, Trade and Transport (STT), University of the Aegean. Her research interests include risk analysis & management, procurement and contract management, stakeholder management, change management and innovation, transport infrastructure evaluation, accountability and entrepreneurial responsibility, entrepreneurship, alliances and strategies, game theory and models which are applicable to Public Private Partnerships. She has participated and led numerous research projects funded by national, European (EC) and international organisations on infrastructure PPPs an MaaS (Mobility-as-a-Service) Business Models (OECD, UNECE) (e.g. BENEFIT H2020, MaaS4EU, HERMES, INNOSUTRA, etc) and chaired researcher networks (e.g. COST Action TU1001 Public Private Partnerships in Transport: Trends & Theory (2010-2014)). She has widely published in the academic and professional literature. She has over 35 years of experience in consulting services provided to the public and private sector including Greek ministries, the EIB and BNP Paribas. She is the director of the MSc in Shipping, Transport and Int. Trade for the term (2022-2024).
