Project Management
Dr. Athena Roumboutsos is a Professor at the Department of Shipping, Trade and Transport, University of the Aegean. She is a Dipl. Eng. from the National Technical University of Athens (1986) and holds a PhD in Reservoir Eng. from Heriot Watt University, UK (1988). She has worked as a consultant and project manager for the public and private sector in more than 15 countries for 20 years before joining the University in 2005. Her research interests in Public Private Partnerships include risk analysis & management, procurement and contract management, stakeholder management, change management and innovation, transport infrastructure evaluation, accountability and entrepreneurial responsibility, entrepreneurship, alliances and strategies, game theory and models. Awards and Distinctions include: Elected President of the COST Action TU1001 Public Private Partnerships in Transport: Trends & Theory (2010-2014); Hellenic State Scholarships: 1979-1987, Bodossaki Foundation Scholarship: 1987-1988; US Patent 5383122 “Method for analyzing pressure buildup in lowpumping rate wells”. She teaches Project Management, Risk Management, Entrepreneurship, Change management and Business Management. She the director of the MSc in Shipping, Transport and Int. Trade for the term (2022-2024).
