The Charter party represents the major contract under which ships are engaged for commercial purposes. The objective of this course is to provide a wide theoretical knowledge as well as a familiarization with all types of charter parties. It is also to provide a comprehensive legal grounding to these key contracts. The course identifies and analyses the main categories of Charter party, namely the bareboat or demise charter party, the time charter and the voyage charter.
