Bio

Dr. Petros Pallis holds a PhD from the Department of Maritime Studies of the University of Piraeus. He holds an MBA from the University of Wales, United Kingdom and a postgraduate degree in Banking (Msc. In Banking) from the Hellenic Open University. Hence, He has a bachelor degree from the Department of Economics of the University of Piraeus.

He has published more than twenty-five (25) scientific papers in international peer-reviewed journals, including: European Transport, Journal of Shipping and Ocean Engineering, Transportation Research Procedia, Journal of Property Investment & Finance, Journal of Management Studies, Sustainability, Library Management, Environmental Challenges, Journal of Infrastructure, Policy and Development, Logistics. He has also participated in more than twenty-five (25) international scientific conferences, such as: IAME 2008, Dalian, China, IAME 2010, Lisbon, Portugal, IAME 2015, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, IAME 2019, Athens, Greece, IAME 2021, Rotterdam, The Netherlands, IAME 2023, Los Angeles, USA, ΙΑΜΕ 2024, Valencia, Spain, Econship 2011 & 2015, Chios, Greece, WCTRS 2016, Shanghai, China, MTEC-ICMASS 2022, Singapore etc.

Today, he is Associate Professor at the University of the Aegean, in the Department of Shipping, Trade and Transport, as well as, Teaching Fellow at HOU, in the Master’s Program of Supply Chain Management (SCM). He has also taught for more than three years at the Maritime Department of the University of Piraeus, as well as, for one year at the Department of Ports Management and Shipping of the NKUA.

Dr. Pallis has significant experience (more than twenty years) in senior and top positions in the Private sector, with the implementation of more than five hundred (500) projects in the field of IT and education and the implementation of more than fifty (50) research projects, in National and European programs, such as indicatively: FP7, Horizon 2020, Interreg, EMFF, Erasmus, LIFE, COST, GSRT, HFRI etc.
